Janet studied Design at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and continued with graduate coursework in Applied Theatre and Arts Administration, launching a creative career that included Broadway, primetime TV, and film in NYC (including Saturday Night Live and Law & Order SVU). Ask her about her amazing stories from those days—she’s worked alongside plenty of familiar faces and has the best behind-the-scenes tales to share.

She also lived and worked abroad—most memorably in Paris, where she studied and worked in art history and fashion, and in Ghana, where she taught visual literacy and documentary filmmaking to students. Other stops include San Francisco, Palo Alto, Boston/Cambridge, Salt Lake City, and a meaningful stint working on an Indian reservation in South Dakota—experiences that give her a global perspective and a unique appreciation for diverse communities.

Before real estate, Janet gained extensive experience in Montessori school leadership, supporting hundreds of Triangle families and even running a nonprofit for local Montessori schools. This background sharpened her skills in communication, problem-solving, and guiding people toward what best fits their lifestyle.

She also serves on school boards, works with refugee families through her family-run nonprofit, WelcomeNST, and occasionally supports mothers as a birth doula, particularly those who are marginalized in the birth world.
